What is Carveboarding? Hmmm... well as far as we know there is nothing like a carveboard that comes so close to replicating the g-force turns or the feeling and "stoke" that you get when you’re surfing or snowboarding. We all know that there are so many days when you just can't get a surf or snowboard session in and you're just itching to lay down some lines. With a little imagination, some good terrain and one of these boards, there is always a six foot section or a couple of feet of fresh powder outside just begging to be torn apart.
The NewquayCarveboard scene.. Newquay is a great place to Carveboard... there are so many hills about you can always get a run in which ever way your headed! See some local Newquay Carveboarders shots below:
Where did it start?
The idea was conceived by Brad and Joe Gerlach nearly nine years ago, with the main objective being to create a board which enabled beginners to pro’s the ability to work on their surfing or snowboarding technique on the street.
Traditional skateboards and all-terrain boards just don’t give you the unique turning radius, extreme rail to rail capabilities, or lateral grip which they envisioned for this true cross-training simulator.
Its no joke people.. these boards will have you mind-surfing your way down the street for as long as your legs can handle..
