For the coming season the NBR is planning several fresh initiatives and a big priority is the refurbishment of the clubhouse at the International Surf Centre on Fistral Beach. Following this, the club will be able to provide a great base for the development of the local surfing talent through ongoing NBR training and coaching sessions as well as becoming the centre for all of the Newquay surfing community at Fistral Beach.

Sean Harris, current co-Chairman, said, “With surfing at the heart of almost everything that we do in Newquay, the NBR has great potential to grow into one of the UK’s strongest and largest clubs. We’re really keen to bring new members in and to develop the club incorporating the ideas and visions of our membership so our 17th April meeting is the ideal opportunity for current and new members to come together and help set new and exciting plans in place for us to quickly and effectively grow. A strong and successful NBR can play a really key part in developing and benefiting the Newquay surfing community with its undeniable talent pool so we’re really keen to involve all of our local surfers, no matter what age and what level of surfing.”
